What exactly is coaching?

Coaching is a process that closes the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. We work together to help you move past the obstacles that are keeping you from success in your life. Coaching is action- and solution-oriented.  Each week, we connect on a Zoom video call to discuss your plan and strategize on getting the results you want.  In coaching, you are the expert on you and I am your accountability partner. We work together to achieve your goals - as YOU define them.  

How do I know if I need a coach?

If you have a career or business goal for your life that you've been dreaming about, thinking about, or wishing you could achieve for more than a year, and you still haven’t done it, then you could benefit from having a coach.

Who do you work with?

Great question! I primarily work with people who want to build meaningful careers making higher salaries, getting bigger promotions, and growing greater influence.  I teach people who are unfulfilled in their jobs how to create a clear vision of their dream job, understand their values and develop a concrete plan of action to leap past obstacles and get to their YES!

Are there professional standards for the coaching industry?

Yes, there is a code of ethics, core competencies, accreditation processes and an International Coach Federation (ICF) that promotes the advancement of coaches. To learn more about ICF, click here.  I follow the ICF Code of Ethics in my coaching practice. Now, everyone you  interview as a coach may say you don't need credentials to coach, and that might be true.  But, who would you take your child to for help, an accredited medical professional, or someone who learned holistic medicine on YouTube?  You get my point?

How will I know you are the right coach for me?

Another good question.  I may not be and that's OK.  During our initial Career Success call, we will see if we are a good  fit. I am thoughtful and serious about helping you get results.  But I also like to laugh and have fun.  So, before you say "yes," you can experience a powerful coaching session with me. What can I expect from you as my coach?

As your coach, I will:

• Provide safety, encouragement and support; an environment in which you can relax and explore;
• Respect the confidentiality of the agreements we make;
• Expand your view of what is possible and promote discovery of new insights;
• Give you input, straight feedback and operate as a sounding board;
• Listen carefully to what you say and ask questions that increase awareness; and
• Be an on-going resource for you in accomplishing your intentions

What if I sign up and then decide it is not right for me? Do you have a money back guarantee on your services or products?

Yes! I call it my "participate and get your money back" guarantee for multi-month coaching programs. If, within the first month of our relationship, you show up for the calls and participate fully in the coaching process, you can simply let me know it is not working for you and I will cancel the remainder of your coaching agreement.  While working with me measurably increases your chances of finding a job that matters, working with me does not guarantee a job.  I do, however, stand behind my coaching work, and would gladly provide a refund if you are not fully satisfied.
